Created by Muatasim Al Hinai and Philippe Paparella-Paris, Khanjar reflects the authenticity of Oman’s historic symbol in a fragrance that opens with a rich infusion of floral notes, saffron, and bergamot followed by a precious rich combination of natural pure oud, ambergris, and leather.

MEET THE PERFUMER

Philippe Paparella-Paris

Philippe Paparella-Paris, a native of the South of France, began his journey in the world of perfumery by studying sciences in Montpellier. He later specialized in perfumery at the prestigious ISIPCA school in Versailles, where he developed a strong foundation in fragrance creation. Philippe's career commenced at the Mane Perfumer Training Program. In 2001, he relocated to Jakarta, Indonesia, expanding his olfactory horizons by working with tropical fruits such as mango and pineapple. In 2003, he moved to China, joining the Symrise team in 2008. Philippe then shifted to Dubai in 2016 and subsequently to São Paulo in 2020. Throughout his career, Philippe has collaborated with numerous exclusive brands, such as Memo Paris and Floraïku. He has also authored famous fragrances like Jing 净 and Sintra. His unique style combines sensual aspects of woody, amber, and musky notes with exotic fruits, resulting in extraordinary and captivating perfumes.
