Balancing freshness with warmth, the alluring tonka bean is decorated with almond and rose petals, giving it a velvety texture, while a touch of tobacco absolute infuses the fragrance with a honeyed allure. In the base, addictive notes of milky amyris wood blends with ambroxan and vanilla absolute creating an unparalleled velvety softness and sensuality.

Velvet Tonka is an ode to one of the beloved perfume ingredients of David Benedek, the perfumer behind BDK Parfums. He describes the Tonka bean as an ingredient full of contrasts; sometimes it is reminiscent of vanilla together with leather, sometimes of almonds, sometimes one even recognizes chocolatey facets. Velvet Tonka is also a tribute to the Moroccan origins of founder David Benedek and to the typical characteristics of this Arab region.
